Big Tent Poetry gave me another easy prompt to fill in the day as I watched my shed rise. Maybe things will get back to normal. The prompt was to write a poem that uses a pearl of wisdom or wives tale as its title.

Red at night, sailor’s delight,
red in morning, sailor take warning:
that’s how the saying goes,
but no one really knows.

For the week, the sky’s been bleak
birds are calling as rain is falling.
Will this weather ever end
if there’s no red to portend?
