BROWN

This is my first posting for NaPoWriMo http://www.napowrimo.net/participants-sites/. The prompt for 4/1/11 was, “Use a Color in the Title.”

BROWN

Brown is a warm color.
It reminds me of
Sun scorched grass,
Sun tanned backs,
And winter logs waiting for the fire.

But never is brown as warm
As what I see in your eyes.
Only there does brown come alive
And gain a spark of mystery.
Only there does brown hold a promise.

Oh yes, brown is a warm color,
But never as warm as what I see in your eyes.

    Beautifully romantic.

Romantic. Did you mean ‘I see’ in the last line?

Thanks, Tilly. Fixed. I keep getting mixed up on the order of things. 1 write. 2 edit. 3 post. When one is tiring, that post button becomes awfully attractive.

  3. earlybird says:

Yes. Very romantic – and ‘warm’.
